Wichita Falcons Needs Sighted Volunteers

Posted May 22, 2022

The Wichita Falcons has a need for sighted spotters and a catcher to join the beep baseball team. Spotters are positioned in the outfield, one on either side of the field. When a ball is hit, a spotter will quickly call the number indicating the general direction the ball is traveling. The catcher works closely with the pitcher to set an accurate target for each batter and helps the batter set up properly in the batter's box. Are you interested? Wichita Falcons –Urgent Need for Volunteers!

Posted: April 19, 2021

We will be attending the 2021 Beep Baseball World Series in Wichita, KS, but we still need more volunteers to help with fundraising, practices on the weekends and the World Series (July 25th -August 1st).

Beep Baseball is an adaptive version of baseball developed for the visually impaired. The Beep Baseball does just as it sounds like it should: it beeps. This allows the players to locate the ball, to hit the ball on offense and to field the ball on defense.
