The Wichita Falcons attended our first World Series held in Tulsa, OK. We learned so much and grew as a team. Some of our players said they felt like it was the first time in a long time they got to be in a competitive sport. We played hard during the day and socialized/networked in the evenings with teams and NBBA volunteers/staff from all over the US and the Dominican Republic. Please consider volunteering and/or playing for the Wichita Falcons next year! Please contact Arlene Owens with any questions at falcons@nbba.org. Thanks again for your support!

We are gearing up to attend the 2019 Beep Baseball World Series in Tulsa, OK, but we still need more volunteers to help with practices on the weekends and the World Series (Departing July 28th & Returning August 4th). Beep Baseball is an adaptive version of baseball developed for the visually impaired. The Beep Baseball does just as it sounds like it should: it beeps. This allows the players to locate the ball, to hit the ball on offense and to field the ball on defense.
We have an urgent need for sighted spotters. There are one or two sighted spotters positioned in the outfield, one on either side of the field. When a ball is hit, a spotter will quickly call the number indicating the general direction the ball is traveling.
For more information about volunteer opportunities, email falcons@nbba.org.
